Typical responsibilities and duties of our fire watch staff include:

• Watch out for fire hazards in the work area while hot work is being performed.

• Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety/hot work permit.

• Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.

• In the event of fire, extinguish it immediately or determine if other action should be taken.

• Make sure all employees are following on-site safety requirements.

• Perform first-aid and CPR if necessary until emergency medical services arrive.
